Equipment Operator

What you bring: * Class 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement is preferred, or a valid Class 5 License with a clean driver’s abstract. * Experience operating radial boom derrick (RBD)/digger derrick, mini-excavator, skid-steer, and other heavy equipment. * Experience in shallow utility installation is preferred. * A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic. * Traffic Control Person (TCP) certification is preferred. * Occupational First Aid (OFA) levels I, II and/or III is preferred. * Fall protection certification is an asset. * Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions. This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to: * Operating various equipment like RBD/digger derrick, bucket truck, crane, excavator/backhoe, skid steer, forklift, plate compactor, jumping jack, dump trailer, pickup truck/flat deck, and arrow truck (training provided). * Perform general labour tasks including hand shoveling, trenching, backfilling, installing street light and traffic signal foundations, laying cables and installing conduits, and completing landscaping and road surface cleanup. * Coordinating pick up, delivery, and handling of stock materials to designated job sites. * Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized. * Assist with traffic control duties when required. * Travel as needed based on project needs. * Work night shifts on occasion as required. Operate various heavy machinery including digger derricks and excavators to install roadway lighting and traffic signals. Perform general labor tasks such as trenching, cable laying, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requires a valid driver's license (Class 3 preferred) and experience operating heavy equipment. Certifications in Traffic Control, First Aid, and Fall Protection are considered assets.
