In this role, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. You will work closely with our operations and maintenance teams to ensure our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready for the field. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform welding operations using various processes on heavy-duty equipment * Read and interpret specifications, drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders * Assemble and weld raw materials and fabricated components using MIG and other welding processes * Adjust voltage and amperage settings as required * Operate hand tools, powered tools, plasma cutting torch, and welding equipment * Position and clamp parts in fixtures and operate overhead bridge cranes / jib cranes * Chip, clean, grind, and finish welds to required standards * Use smoke extractors and anti-splatter products as required * Report repair issues, equipment delays, and maintenance concerns to the Supervisor * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment * Adhere strictly to all HSEC policies and procedures Qualifications: * Journeyperson Welder certification, red seal is an asset. * Experience working with mining or heavy equipment repairs and customizations. * Possess a valid driver’s license and driver’s abstract. * Ability to pass a Drug/Alcohol Screen & Fit for Duty test. * Ability to work with limited supervision or as part of a team. * Knowledge of the mining industry considered an asset Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Work Location: In person Address: 230 Bd Industriel, Rouyn-Noranda, QC J9X 6T3 Major Drilling is an equal opportunity employer, and has a strong commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
