Job Duties: * Assists shop team with any required tasks. * Help mechanics with simple repairs. * Ensures organization and cleanliness of shop and yard. * Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures. * Tasks are not limited to the above and other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications: * Experience in shop environment considered an asset. * Mechanically inclined. * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while acting to attain organizational goals. * Excellent verbal communication. * Safety conscious. * Valid Driver’s Licence considered an asset. * Effective time management skills, to ensure tasks and responsibilities are completed on time. * Operate with little supervision. * Ability to work safely while lifting and carrying heavy objects. What you’ll do
The Shop Hand assists the maintenance team with simple repairs and general shop tasks. They are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard.
Requirements
Candidates should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects. Previous experience in a shop environment is considered an asset, and applicants must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
