The Position We are currently seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyperson to join our growing team. Open positions focus on commercial and industrial refrigeration service, maintenance, and troubleshooting across multiple sites throughout the Nova Scotia area. Role and Responsibilities: * Strong diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair refrigeration equipment and rooftop units * Perform preventative maintenance and inspections * Ability to read and interpret HVAC/R schematics and blueprints * Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with codes and company standards and legislation * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Licenced 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic * Minimum 5 years of commercial Refrigeration/HVAC experience * Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills * Experience with gas heating, refrigeration systems, and airflow principles * Ability to work independently and manage service calls * Willing and able to work overtime, as required * Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract * Gas license required * ODP certification required Compensation & Incentives: * Competitive hourly wage * On-call premiums * Health, vision and dental benefits package * Company paid Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) * Four (4) weeks vacation at hire Additional Perks: * Company vehicle (assigned to employee and can be stored at your residence) * Company supplied cell phone * Company supplied clothing and tools * Ongoing training provided (both in house and off site) * Steady, year-round commercial work We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those that best meet our qualifications will be contacted. Requirements
Requires a licensed 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic with at least 5 years of commercial experience. Must possess a gas license, ODP certification, and a valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
