About MakerKids MakerKids runs award-winning STEM programs for kids in Coding, Robotics, and Minecraft. Role Overview As the Camps & Program Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our STEM programs, ensuring every class, camp, and event is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. As the on-site operations lead, you'll coordinate staff, oversee daily logistics, solve problems as they arise, and support instructors to ensure an exceptional experience for every student and family. You'll work closely with the Head of People & Operations to execute daily operations, uphold program quality, and foster a positive team culture. A background or strong interest in STEM, education, or computer science is an asset, as is experience working in youth programs. Hours and Structure: Up to 35 hours per week Hours vary depending on the season and programming Responsibilities Team Leadership: Serve as the on-site lead, ensuring classes, camps, and events run smoothly. Support and coach instructors with classroom management, problem solving, and day-to-day operations while resolving issues as they arise. Help recruit, train, and schedule staff to foster a positive, collaborative team culture. Operations Management: Handle daily operations including scheduling, bookings, inventory, and program logistics (e.g., camps, PA days, birthday parties). Troubleshoot tech issues and ensure location readiness. Customer Service: Build strong relationships with families by providing excellent customer service, in a warm and professional manner. STEM Instruction: Step in to teach basic coding, robotics, and Minecraft classes for children ages 5–13 when possible during instructor absences or scheduling changes, helping ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery. What We’re Looking For: Experience in team leadership, operations, or education management Experience working directly with children in camps, classrooms, childcare, recreation, or educational programs is strongly preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills Excellent ability to problem solve independently Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and supportive management style Customer-focused mindset with a friendly, professional approach Basic knowledge in STEM education or is keen to learn our curriculum Specific Certifications/Qualifications: Must be able to work at multiple MakerKids locations Main location: 2451 Bloor Street West Toronto and Mississauga locations as needed Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (or willing to obtain) Willing to undergo a Vulnerable Sector Check annually Why MakerKids?
