Job Description We are looking for a Dock Supervisor for varying shifts, for vacation relief Various shifts: 8- to 12-hour shifts. This will be full-time hours Lead and direct a dock crew to achieve shift objectives. Communicate, problem solve and react to challenges with service, safety, and operational targets in mind. Enforce proper handling procedures with a focus on reducing damages and accurate exception reporting. Work with fellow supervisors and planners to achieve desirable results. Maintain accountability for all freight working to ensure service standards are being met. Ensure all employees are instructed in safe work practices, and that work is carried out safely. You will be responsible for enforcing procedures with current dock staff to train new staff. You will be required to act on collisions, spills, and injuries. Qualifications Previous experience working an LTL cross dock. Ability to lead, delegate, and multitask. Flexible hours to accommodate the vacation of fellow supervisors. Strong geographical knowledge of the Saskatoon service area. Dedicated company employee committed to achieving operational and financial targets.
