POSITION SUMMARY: The Night Auditor will work on a rotating basis in some or all of the areas of the Front Office including Reception, Cashier, Telephone, and Accounting. All Night Auditors must aim to provide the ultimate in service and courtesy to guests of Hilton Toronto/Markham from the time of registration to the time of departure. This will be done through analyzing and interpreting the needs of guests and offering the appropriate options, solutions and resolutions as required. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Registers guests into their guest bedrooms as per reservations · Checks out guests and settles accounts · Collects and verifies payments – cash, debit and credit and maintaining a float · Provides general information to guests (i.e., directions, restaurant hours etc) · Balances and audits all Front Office postings and settlements · Updates daily checklist and guest history · Balances all credit cards, direct bills, and miscellaneous charges from all shifts · Closes the food and beverage point of sale system and balance all room charges from outlets · Takes all reservations once reservation department is closed · Starts Close Out process, prints and distributes Night Audit Report Packets · Consistently provides exceptional customer service by exceeding guests expectations · Takes ownership of all guests complaints and rectify the complaint quickly and efficiently · Communicates information regarding Guests’ needs to other Team Members and Departments · Other duties assigned by the Front Desk Manager or Supervisor Job Requirements: · Previous front office or accounting experience required · Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and relevant computer applications required · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Solid knowledge of Front Office, Night Audit and Accounting procedures · Possesses a passion for customer service and the ability to exceed customer expectations · A team player · Exceptional conflict resolution skills · Proven ability to be organized, multi-task and prioritize · Completion of High School, GED or equivalent · Good command of English · Strong financial and math skills · Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset · Flexible shift availability Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in the workplace.
