Job summary

COMPANY: Mercer DESCRIPTION: We will count on you to: * Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure the team meets and exceeds company standards for performance and productivity * Lead day to day liaison with Middle Office outsource provider * Oversight of daily order management/trade execution and all aspects of daily trading including trade communication and reconciliation * Oversee daily monitoring, analysis and oversight of outsource provider’s recording of client custodian cash positions to ensure that they are captured for: * trading * liability calculations and * cash requirements * Sign-off on daily cash and trade packages * Act as the first point of contact for resolving team or client-related issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions * Analyze reconciliations of client custodian holdings to third party vendor systems * Coordination and oversight of client monthly holding reconciliations * Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and smooth operations * Review sub-advisor and custodian invoices for payment * Special projects * Provide support to Manager of Trade Operations Team as needed What you need to have: * Undergraduate degree in relevant finance, economics or related discipline * 5+ years’ experience in Mutual Fund/Portfolio Manager business with focus on institutional client account support * Outstanding technical, analytical and problem solving skills; Microsoft Office competence with a strong emphasis in Excel including Macro proficiency * Strong organizational skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal and project management skills with a strong attention to detail * Strong verbal and written stakeholder communication skills * Proven leadership and people development experience * Works effectively in the face of ambiguity by independently researching problems and proposing innovative solutions, effective influencing and negotiation skills What makes you stand out: * Previous cash management experience * Charles River Investment Solutions experience * Trade management experience (securities and funds) * Quality assurance / User acceptance testing experience * You enjoy working with small dedicated teams * You see the big picture and are hands on with day to day functions * You have a great sense of urgency regarding meeting and anticipating client needs * You manage your time effectively and independently * You take ownership of your work and escalate issues quickly when applicable * You are adaptable to changing client needs * You are patient during times of transition and see the long term gains of change * You are flexible regarding working hours in order to meet service levels when required * You are dedicated to a high level of accuracy for yourself and expect the same from your team * You strive to improve processes and find more efficient ways to serve clients Mercer is a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH), a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital, people and investments, and management consulting, advising clients in 130 countries. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person. The applicable base salary range for this role is $63 000 to $94 600. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives. This is a Replacement position.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in finance or economics and over 5 years of experience in Mutual Fund or Portfolio Manager business. Must possess strong technical skills in Excel and proven leadership experience in institutional client support.
