Job summary

The Amazon Account Manager owns and grows Maverick Sales’ Amazon channel, which is approximately 25% of total managed POS across our brand portfolio. This role manages a multi-brand catalogue spanning FMCG, OTC, and Beauty categories, with Vendor Central (1P) as the primary platform and Seller Central as a growing capability. You will work directly with the Director of Ecommerce, other ecommerce colleagues, and collaborate across the MAAV commercial team. The successful candidate is a strategist and an operator: capable of building growth plans, owning Amazon P&L, and serving as the expert on marketplace best practices. In the first 90 days: Complete a full audit of all active listings, ad accounts, and catalogue health across managed brands. Establish baseline performance benchmarks (ROAS, in-stock rate, content compliance) per brand. Identify and present the top 3–5 growth opportunities to the ecommerce leadership team. Own all day-to-day Amazon account management with zero escalation gaps. Mindset Ownership & Accountability: Takes initiative, assumes responsibility, and drives impactful outcomes. SkillsetAmazon Business & Sales Growth Account Management: Manages Maverick Sales’s Amazon accounts across Vendor Central (primary) and Seller Central. Sales & Profitability: Develops and executes strategies to drive revenue, margin, and category growth. Listing Optimization: Maintains and improves product listings, pricing, keyword strategy, and ad campaigns. Promotional Strategy: Leads promotional planning and seasonal strategy aligned with brand objectives. Category Expansion: Identifies new product launch opportunities and assortment gaps. Financial & Business Management P&L Ownership: Owns Amazon P&L per brand; both retailer and brand targets. Budget Management: Manages advertising spend and promotional budgets and ROI. Forecasting & Reporting: Forecasts sales, tracks KPIs, and delivers regular performance reporting to brand partners. Competitive Analysis: Analyzes competitive activity, category shifts, and shopper behaviour trends. Amazon Marketing & Digital Commerce Advertising Oversight: Oversees Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, DSP, and any other on-platform media with ongoing performance optimization. Content Excellence: Partners with brand teams to ensure A+ Content, Brand Store, video, and imagery meet best-in-class standards. Customer Acquisition: Implements strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and review velocity. Risk Management: Monitors compliance; proactively manages chargebacks, suspensions, and counterfeit risks. Partner Management & Collaboration Client Liaison: Serves as the primary Amazon point of contact for selected brands. Amazon Relationship: Maintains relationships with Amazon vendor managers, category managers, and support teams. Cross-Functional: Collaborates with marketing, supply chain, and finance for seamless execution. Business Reviews: Prepares and presents brand-level business reviews and growth recommendations. Toolset Amazon Platforms: Full working knowledge of Vendor Central (required) and Seller Central (asset). Advertising: Amazon Ads Console, DSP; Helium 10, or equivalent. Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite, Seller Sonar or similar monitoring tool. Education and Experience 3+ years managing Amazon Vendor Central accounts. Demonstrated track record of revenue growth and improved advertising efficiency on Amazon. 1P vendor relationship experience strongly preferred over 3P-only backgrounds. Post-secondary degree or certification in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Work Environment Fast-paced, commercially driven team.
