Our Client Our client, CCWESTT (Canadian Coalition of Women in Engineering, Science, Trades and Technology), is a national not-for-profit organization working to create a more gender-equitable, diverse and inclusive engineering, science, trades and technology sector across Canada. Through advocacy, partnerships and a strong national network, CCWESTT brings organizations and individuals together to help drive meaningful change. They are looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Communications Coordinator who knows how to turn ideas into compelling content, build engagement and strengthen connections across digital and traditional channels. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants their work to have an impact. You’ll create content, support campaigns and events, grow CCWESTT’s reach and membership, and help tell the stories behind a national movement. The position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in Canada, with occasional travel for meetings or events. What You’ll Be Doing: Develop and execute marketing campaigns focused on growing membership and expanding CCWESTT’s national network. Create communications plans for programs, projects, events and organizational initiatives. Develop engaging marketing materials including digital media kits, partnership packages and presentation decks. Lead the production of CCWESTT’s e-newsletter and blog, including content planning, writing, editing, formatting and distribution. Create and manage website and email communications for events, programs and organizational announcements. Review and edit social media content while ensuring communications are consistent with CCWESTT’s brand, voice and accessibility standards. Support event communications and planning, including developing themes, scripting and audience engagement. Track and analyze marketing performance including website traffic, email conversion rates and audience growth, using insights to strengthen future campaigns. Help develop CCWESTT’s media relations strategy and build relationships with media contacts across Canada. Coordinate with external communications vendors and work closely with CCWESTT’s team, Board, member organizations and partners. Contribute ideas and recommendations that strengthen CCWESTT’s visibility, effectiveness and long-term sustainability. What We Require: Post-secondary degree or diploma. 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, content development or a related field. Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences. Experience creating professional content for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X/Twitter. Experience with newsletter/email distribution platforms. Experience supporting communications for virtual events and programs. Experience managing website content using platforms such as WordPress. Experience creating professional graphics and communications materials using Canva. Strong organizational, planning and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects and deadlines. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating closely with a small team. The following would be considered an asset: Knowledge of diversity, inclusion and the challenges affecting gender equity in the workplace. Experience within engineering, science, trades or technology. Bilingualism in French and English. Media relations experience, including writing and distributing press releases. Proficiency with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office. What We Offer: Salary: $60,000–$70,000 Fully remote position – work from anywhere in Canada 10 flexible holidays annually. An additional two weeks of paid time off in December, on top of eligible vacation.
