The Casual Events Office Assistant provides administrative and operational support for workshops, conferences, meetings, and special events. This role assists with event coordination, data entry, room bookings, communications, and on-site event support while ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for clients, guests, and event participants. Qualifications Required : Active McGill student High school diploma or equivalent. Previous administrative, customer service, or event support experience is considered an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to provide courteous and professional service in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Apx. 10-15 hours a week, with the possibility of renewal __________________________________ L’assistant(e) administratif(ve) chargé(e) des événements ponctuels apporte un soutien administratif et opérationnel dans le cadre d’ateliers, de conférences, de réunions et d’événements spéciaux. Titulaire de ce poste, il/elle participe à la coordination des événements, à la saisie de données, à la réservation de salles, à la communication et à l’assistance sur place, tout en veillant à offrir une expérience professionnelle et accueillante aux clients, aux invités et aux participants aux événements. Qualifications requises : Être étudiant(e) inscrit(e) à l’Université McGill. Diplôme de fin d’études secondaires ou équivalent. Une expérience préalable dans l’administration, le service client ou l’assistance événementielle est considérée comme un atout. Solides compétences interpersonnelles et de communication. Capacité à fournir un service courtois et professionnel dans un environnement dynamique. Maîtrise de base des applications Microsoft Office, notamment Word, Outlook et Excel. Minimum Education and Experience: High School Diploma Minimal or No Related Experience Hourly Salary: (AMUSE A) $20.00 Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week: 10 (Part time) Position Start Date: 2026-09-28 Position End Date: 2026-12-23 Deadline to Apply: 2026-09-17 This position is covered by the AMUSE collective agreement.
