POSITION DESCRIPTION Mercer Celgar is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Engineering team as a Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES * Analyze and update equipment criticality utilizing our established process. * Audit and develop equipment maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability. * Plan, manage and execute asset inspection and high value maintenance projects. * Plan, manage and execute maintenance of business CAPEX projects. * Support production, maintenance and project teams as the equipment subject matter expert. * Investigate equipment failures and recommend solutions. * Provide input to long term and annual business plans. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Registered with a Canadian Engineering Association (EGBC, APEGA, PEO, etc.) as a P.Eng. * Several years experience in the maintenance area with knowledge of best maintenance practices. * Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate work activities with input from a wide cross-section of individuals within the organization. * Familiarity with NBIC, API, and ASME codes and standards.
