Licensed Carpenter – With Advancement Opportunities Location: Various job sites Job Type: Full-time, 1-Year Contract with possibility of permanent full-time employment at year end Pay: $40–$45 per hour Vacancy: This posting is for an existing vacancy Schedule: Full-time; some weekend and night work is be required About The Position Snyder Construction is currently looking for an experienced, licensed carpenter to join our team. This position is suited to a skilled carpenter who is looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to move into a Working Supervisor capacity. The successful candidate will be actively involved in carpentry and construction work while gradually taking on additional responsibility for coordinating and supervising site activities. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, can lead by example, and is interested in developing their supervisory skills. Key Responsibilities Perform skilled carpentry and general construction work. Read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications. Assist with coordinating day-to-day site activities. Assist workers with their responsibilities. Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors as required. Help monitor workmanship, productivity, and project progress. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site. Help identify and resolve construction issues as they arise. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site. Qualifications & Skills Valid Carpenter's licence is required. Several years of hands-on carpentry and construction experience. Experience with ICI and private commercial, and residential construction projects. Working at Heights certification. Fall Arrest certification. Valid First Aid certification. Sound knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and safety requirements. Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities. Strong problem-solving skills. Valid Class G driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract. Opportunity for Advancement This position provides an opportunity for potential advancement. Security clearance checks are required for some government projects. Some weekend and night work is required depending on project requirements. Requirements

Requires a valid carpenter's licence, several years of hands-on carpentry and construction experience, and experience with ICI, private commercial, and residential projects. Candidates must have Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, and First Aid certifications, a valid Class G driver's licence with a clean abstract, construction drawing and building code knowledge, and strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
