About the Role As an Account Executive (AE) at Metric Marketing, you’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the top private and independent schools in North America – and use your marketing expertise to help fuel their growth. You will manage a book of business through hands-on consultation, personalized selling and idea generation, and careful management of your clients’ investments. Work remotely from anywhere in Canada, with occasional travel to meet your clients face-to-face and connect with our head office team in Winnipeg, Canada. Fluency in Numbers & GA4: You understand KPIs, attribution models, conversion rates, and revenue outcomes – and can translate complex GA4 data into action items and next steps. Agile & Commercial Mindset: An agency or marketing tech background is a huge plus, but what matters most is your ability to jump in, learn quickly, and adapt to a rapidly changing industry. Education Industry Experience: You are experienced in and passionate about private and independent school marketing (or curious and excited to learn). We value diverse experience and non-traditional paths. If you have a track record of high achievement in sales and marketing but don't check every single box, we encourage you to apply. Key Job Duties & Outcomes Drive Account Retention & Upsells: Take full ownership of client renewals and contract expansions. Uncover hidden growth opportunities, position new products, and secure high-value, multi-year commitments. Scale Your Book of Business: Team up with our Business Development team to hit the ground running, taking over a strategic mix of existing accounts while actively developing new relationships. Command the Boardroom: Confidently advise C-suite executives, Heads of School, and Board Members on strategy – linking marketing performance, enrollment goals, strategic plans, and ROI. Understand & Explain Marketing Data: Dive deep into analytics (GA4, conversion metrics, ROI models) to prove campaign value, demonstrate business impact, and make multi-year renewals simple based on data. Master the Seasonal Sales Cycle: Navigate and capitalize on the unique rhythm of the private school enrollment calendar, turning key seasonality windows into opportunities and nurturing relationships through your clients’ busiest months. Skills & Competencies Polished Executive Presence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills – in person or virtually. Remote Work & Travel: Ability to work independently from your remote location. Willingness and ability to travel to client sites across North America (1x/year per account) and visit Metric’s Winnipeg head office for key team gatherings. Our team of 50+ full-time professionals helps schools define their competitive edge, fill their enrollment pipelines, and maximize their marketing ROI through our proprietary GRO system – which leverages strategic advertising campaigns, measurement & insights, website optimization, and email marketing alongside custom projects spanning brand, social media, traditional advertising, and more. Competitive Pay: Base Salary of $70,000 – $90,000 CAD (commensurate with experience) with an uncapped commission structure and profitability bonuses tied directly to your KPIs, book growth, and retention. Work-Life Balance: Join our remote-first culture from anywhere in Canada. Team members who are local to Winnipeg have access to our modern office in a downtown heritage building.
