Job summary
JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Manager Analytics & Forecasting will lead the development and management of supply, demand and inventory forecasts at multiple levels for raw material. This person will oversee the creation and evaluation of item-level statistical forecasts and supports event-based movement of product to drive efficient purchasing execution and productive inventory KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead project launch, facilitate and maintain S&OP process; developing both demand plan and supply forecast at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of the inventory planning function Reviews historical sales and inventory trends, researches demand drivers, prepares forecast data, develops statistical forecast models and evaluates forecast results Coordinates cross-functional activities to reconcile significant variances and refines the forecast model to reflect updated sales and origination assumptions. Interacts with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service to understand forecast drivers Uses and maintains the supply and demand planning software/tools/model as well as Microsoft Excel as primary forecasting system tools Provides input to the Supply chain organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items and new products. Closely coordinates and communicates customer action plans with supply chain organization. Creating statistical forecasts Reviewing, coordinating and communicating Sales and Demand Plans Achieving consensus with operational demand forecasts Providing input to volume planning Preparing and maintaining relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree 5+ years of relevant experience developing and maintaining an S&OP process 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing direct reports Demonstrated track record of accomplishments in a similar role managing supply, demand and inventory planning Technical experience using advanced forecasting tools Outstanding analytical skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS Position follows a hybrid work requirement, consisting of four (4) days onsite and one (1) day remote weekly. Primarily office-based with standard working hours; may require additional hours to meet project deadlines or address urgent matters. Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. Minimal physical demands, primarily involving sitting, using a computer, and other office-related activities
