As a Senior Project Manager in the institutional construction sector, you will oversee the planning and execution of a school / institutional new build project in Owen Sound. Your role will involve coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. Client Details Our client is an established General Contractor in the institutional buildings construction industry dedicated to projects across South Western Ontario. Description Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of institutional construction projects, specifically school and new build projects. Collaborate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met. Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial targets are achieved. Oversee procurement processes and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project timelines and address any delays or challenges proactively. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment. Prepare detailed progress reports and updates for stakeholders. Profile A successful Senior Project Manager should have: Extensive experience in ICI General Contracting/Construction Management with a focus on school and institutional new build projects up to and in excess of $50M in scope. Strong leadership and decision-making skills to manage project teams effectively. A proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and deliver projects within scope. Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes applicable to institutional construction. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
