Job Description Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking a professional Class 1 Night Shunt Driver based out of Corner Brook, NL. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service. Shift: Monday-Friday (20:00-06:00) What we offer: Rate $0.558/mile Hourly pay for drops, hooks, fueling etc. Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly. Uniform allowance. Please click HERE for our Full Rate Card. Responsibilities Running Linehaul between Corner Brook, NL, and Gander, NL Communicate efficiently with the dispatch. Operate the trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws. Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation. Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner. Qualifications Education Required: High School or GED. Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required. Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search. Night driving experience is preferred. Familiarity with satellite systems. Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment. Safety conscious. About Us Founded in 1882, J.D. Requirements

Requires a Class 1 driver's license with at least 3 years of safe North American tractor-trailer experience and a clean driver's abstract. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
