As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team at our Markham Head Office. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for toys, games, collectibles, and specialty merchandise. Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize profitability. Monitor inventory levels and sales trends to effectively plan restocks and new product acquisitions. Collaborate closely with merchandising and retail teams to ensure the right products reach the right stores at the right time. Review purchase orders for accuracy and ensure timely processing. Analyze sales performance and product lifecycle to make informed purchasing decisions. Track shipments and proactively resolve issues related to delivery or product discrepancies. Research new trends, products, and suppliers to continuously expand our assortment. Coordinate with accounting and warehouse teams on invoicing and receiving matters. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of demand planning, purchasing, and inventory management experience specifically within toys and games industry . 3 years of specific TCG category management is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with NetSuite is required. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems. Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
