Job Title: Senior .Net Developer Location: St. John's, NL, Onsite Seniority on the skill/s required on this requirement: Senior Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extension Work authorization: any (candidate must be authorized to work in CA) Job Summary The Senior .Net Developer will join the project team to assist with technical design and development, while supporting application work streams across the integration, data, and presentation layers. The role is responsible for delivering scalable API services, executing data migration activities, and contributing to front-end development to ensure a cohesive, end-to-end solution aligned with business and technical requirements. Responsibilities Integration & API Services Design, develop, and maintain RESTful API services using .NET technologies Implement secure, performant, and scalable integration patterns Collaborate with other team members to redefine/redevelop existing data extract process and procedures Support API testing, documentation, and deployment activities across environments. Data Migration Participate in the planning and execution of data migration activities from legacy or source systems to target platform Develop and maintain migration utilities, transformation logic, and validation routines Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and issue resolution in coordination with data and business stakeholders Support migration testing cycles and cutover activities as required. Front-End Development Contribute to front-end development using modern web technologies integrated with .NET back-end services Implement UI components aligned with UX designs and accessibility standards Ensure design consistency between core solution and associated modules/portals Participate in troubleshooting and performance optimization across the UI layer. Project Engagement and Supporting Tasks Attend regular team stand-ups and other development focused meetings Assist with solution design documentation Assist with solution testing (including scripts, execution and remediation) Track task status/completion within project KanBan/Planner boards Requirements Post-secondary education (2+ year program) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, or Business from a recognized institution, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience. 5+ years of demonstrated experience operating in a Systems Analyst / Developer capacity, with recent hands-on involvement in the Microsoft .NET ecosystem (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core). Advanced hands-on proficiency with the Microsoft .NET stack, including: C#, ASP.NET Core / MVC, RESTful and SOAP-based web services, Git-based version control. Extensive experience working with relational database platforms, encompassing: SQL development (queries and stored procedures), Microsoft SQL Server, Data extraction, reporting feeds, and exports Proven capability developing and implementing front-end solutions, using: HTML and CSS, including modern CSS frameworks, JavaScript, Razor and/or Blazor technologies Experience applying modern software engineering practices, including application security considerations, automated testing, dependency injection, and maintainable architecture patterns. Demonstrated experience operating in a senior development capacity within delivery teams, including recent project work, role and responsibilities, and approaches to effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong experience designing, developing, and integrating secure, scalable APIs, including RESTful and service-based implementations, and supporting downstream data extraction, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
