Mining Plus has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mining Consultant - Underground to provide their mining expertise and leadership experience on assignments including engineering studies (scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility), operational reviews, implementation of operational best practices, due diligence/independent reporting projects, project management, peer review of technical work, and business development. This position supports the Mining Plus global team by providing diligent leadership and world class project delivery. The successful candidate will consult on diverse, high-impact projects and play a key role in strengthening client relationships while supporting our global team. Key Responsibilities: Mineral Reserve estimation Mine Design, Scheduling and Planning optimization Technical Report contributions (NI 43-101 or similar) and QP responsibility where applicable Mining contractor engagement and assessment Technical Due Diligence Peer review and technical guidance for team members Project cost modelling and financial assessments Software and system implementation Project Management Mentoring of team members Business improvement projects Desired Skills and Experience: Recognized Degree in Mineral/Mining Engineering 8 years+ experience working in underground mining operations Eng. professional designation (or eligibility) is preferred Deswik and/or Datamine software experience preferred Production and mine engineering tools (Short Range Planning, ventilation, materials handling, water handling, etc. or drill and blast) experience favorable Participation in mining studies using international reporting standards of NI 43-101 (Scoping, Pre-feasibility and Feasibility) technical reports Mine design and mine scheduling experience Mine Economics and cost modelling experience High degree of motivation, strategic planning, and self-starting capability Proven track record of developing and strengthening client relationships, and managing business relationships Compensation and work-life balance: Salary range : CAD $120K - $155K Healthcare Plan Sick leave Generous vacation policy RRSP Matching Flexible work arrangements Employee Assistance Program *Applicants residing in Canada only need to apply We want you to write your next chapter with us. Requirements
Candidates must have a recognized degree in Mineral/Mining Engineering and over 8 years of experience in underground mining operations. Proficiency in Deswik or Datamine software and experience with NI 43-101 reporting standards are highly preferred.
