Come join our Team, and learn first-hand how you can contribute to our “Innovation Inside”! Duties & Responsibilities Develop design concepts into complete functioning 3D CAD designs. Adhering to customer requirements and standards. Generates design drawings. Designs components and mechanisms for manufacturing. Generate Bill of Materials and Detail prints. Assist with project quoting. Interact with Process Engineers, Project Management, Automation Specialists, vendors and customers. Assists Jr. Automation Designers on their assigned projects. Assist in complete start-up and commissioning of automation systems. Assist with field inspections (PHSR, ESA, etc.) as it pertains to the equipment. Assist in new equipment commissioning, start-up and training. Be actively involved in continuous improvement activities. Communicate opportunities for improvement through the appropriate channels. Immediately correct or report any unsafe conditions. Travel to all MP plants as required. Any other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications Experience in designing, building and start up of assembly equipment. Understanding of PLC-based machine logic. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automation design. Trade certification and/or college diploma in Machine Tool Building or Automation Design. Required Skills Experience with SOLIDWORKS mechanical design software. Understanding of machine guarding and other safety requirements. Ability to work in fast paced / team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge in design, development and implementation of robotic systems. Knowledge of pneumatic circuits and systems. Requirements

Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation design and a trade certification or college diploma in Machine Tool Building or Automation Design. Proficiency in Solidworks and knowledge of PLC-based systems and robotic integration are essential.
