Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented M&A Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is intellectually curious, enjoys learning about businesses across a wide range of industries, and takes pride in producing exceptional work. Working closely with senior team members, the M&A Associate will support both buy-side and sell-side mandates through every stage of the transaction process. Responsibilities include researching industries and companies, identifying acquisition targets and strategic buyers, preparing Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and other transaction materials, conducting financial analyses, and supporting transaction execution. This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional attention to detail, strong written communication skills, and a proactive approach. While the role offers meaningful exposure to live M&A transactions, it also includes ongoing business development and sourcing activities, including researching industries, identifying prospective acquisition targets, and supporting the firm's pipeline of opportunities. The ideal candidate is someone the team can rely on. Key Responsibilities: Buy-Side Advisory Support Research industries and identify acquisition targets that align with client acquisition strategies. Develop acquisition target lists and prepare company profiles. Research strategic buyers, private equity firms, and industry participants. Support outreach initiatives and coordinate introductions with prospective acquisition targets. Assist senior team members throughout the buy-side acquisition process. Sell-Side Advisory Support Prepare Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), teasers, company overviews, and presentation materials. Write compelling company descriptions, investment highlights, and industry overviews. Assist in identifying and researching strategic and financial buyers. Support due diligence, virtual data room management, and transaction documentation. Assist senior team members throughout transaction execution. Research & Business Development Conduct industry, market, and company research across a variety of sectors. Monitor M&A activity and identify emerging industry trends. Research prospective clients and acquisition opportunities. Maintain buyer databases, CRM records, and internal research resources. Support conference and tradeshow preparation. Assist with sourcing initiatives and business development activities during periods of lower transaction volume. General Responsibilities Prepare financial analyses and valuation support materials. Assist in drafting and organizing transaction documentation. Prepare client presentations and internal memorandums. Work collaboratively with senior professionals across multiple engagements while managing competing priorities. Produce consistently accurate, polished, and well-organized work. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, private equity, or a related field. Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Excellent business writing skills with the ability to prepare clear, persuasive, and professional documents. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated, proactive, dependable, and able to work independently while supporting senior team members.
