CNC Boring Mill Machinist Day or Afternoon Shift | $33.00–$40.00/hr We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Boring Mill Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a skilled machinist with experience setting up and operating CNC horizontal boring mills and/or large CNC milling equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large, complex parts, reading engineering drawings, performing setups, and machining components to tight tolerances. Compensation & Schedule Pay: $33.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience Shifts Available: Days or Afternoons Employment: Full-time, permanent Overtime opportunities may be available Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC boring mills and CNC milling machines Machine large components according to engineering drawings and specifications Perform machine setups, including tooling, fixtures, work offsets, and part alignment Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and machining specifications Make necessary CNC program and offset adjustments at the machine Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining methods Perform roughing and finishing operations while maintaining required tolerances Inspect completed work using micrometers, verniers/calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and dimensional issues Maintain quality throughout the machining process Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures Qualifications Previous experience as a CNC Boring Mill Machinist, CNC Mill Machinist, or CNC Machinist Strong experience machining large or complex components Ability to independently set up CNC machinery Strong blueprint-reading and mechanical aptitude Knowledge of GD&T and tight-tolerance machining Comfortable using precision measuring and inspection equipment Ability to make CNC program or offset adjustments as required Experience in tooling, mold, die, automotive, aerospace, or heavy machining environments would be an asset Must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of machining quality What’s Offered Competitive hourly rate of $33–$40/hr Choice of day or afternoon shift Permanent, full-time employment Opportunity to work on challenging, large-scale machining projects Stable manufacturing environment Opportunity for experienced machinists to further develop their CNC and large-part machining skills Ideal Candidate This role would be an excellent fit for an experienced CNC Boring Mill Machinist who enjoys working on large, challenging components and can confidently take a job from setup through machining and final inspection.
