Manufacturing Technician (Mechanical) - Contract Location: Vaughan, Ontario Employment Type: Contract, On-site Pay: $30 Per Hour Our client is a leading global medical device manufacturing organization, and they are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join their team on a 6 – 12-month contract in Vaughan, ON. In this role you will provide support in new development projects to ensure designs are manufacturable. Activities will focus on alleviating issues that may affect quality and cost effectiveness for the newly introduced products. Job Responsibilities: Perform electro-mechanical and precision assembly work for major subassemblies for new projects. Prepare parts/assembly prior to assembly and installation. Collaborates with Design and MAE Engineers and support staff. Assist MAE Engineers in the definition, development, verification, and release on the following deliverables: Process Development Assembly procedures Assembly Time studies Design of simple tools, jigs, and fixtures to assist assembly in production. Troubleshooting and corrective action reports. Perform simple tolerance stack-up analysis Generate reports Requirements: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Technician program Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or Applied Science Technologist (AST) in Mechanical Engineering discipline is an asset (future certification capable). Minimum 2 years work experience in electro-mechanical and precision manufacturing assembly. Perform Problem Solving/Root Cause analysis. Interpret Assembly drawings, procedures, and CAD drawings Experience working on new product introduction projects or R&D environment. Perform tolerancing and dimensioning analysis. Experience working with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Knowledge on Enovia, 3D Experience or Oracle an asset. Working knowledge and use of CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD/Solidworks/Catia). Full working knowledge of MS Office applications. FMEA knowledge an asset. Working knowledge in MS Office applications Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements
