In this role, the welder will perform various welding tasks to fabricate, repair, and assemble metal structures and components according to technical drawings and specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up welding equipment, preparing materials, measuring and cutting metal, and performing Arc, MIG, and TIG welding as required. The welder will inspect completed work for quality and accuracy, follow safety procedures, and maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Collaboration with fabricators, supervisors, and other team members to meet project timelines and quality standards is an essential part of the position. Qualifications Strong welding skills, including proficiency in Welding and Arc Welding. Hands-on experience with TIG Welding and MIG Welding in fabrication or construction settings. Knowledge of Materials, including common metals and alloys used in structural and modular fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to PPE requirements and safe equipment operation. Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in welding or metal fabrication is an asset. Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or modular fabrication environments is preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and problem-solving skills.
