We have a position for a Montessorian in our Casa Program - 3 up to the age of 6 - Campus I - 2411 - 4th Street NW. We are seeking a Child Development Professional (Montessorian) seeking a new and wonderful challenge and experience with a reputable Montessori organization. We are looking for individuals who hold an AMI Montessori Certification. The individual will also have experience at a reputable Montessori School as a Montessorian for at least three years. We are looking for the right individuals who possess professionalism, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to make a personal investment in MCHA, Montessori, the team, and the children, and who have a Montessori soul and great respect for young children. The successful candidate must be coachable, collaborative, hard-working, and committed to the MCHA and Montessori vision. These individuals will also have strong leadership and be responsible for coaching and guiding up to 5 assistants. Qualifications: Must hold an AMI Montessori certification for 3 to 6 year olds. Level 2 or 3 Early Childhood Educator certification in Alberta 3 years of classroom experience as a Montessorian Current First Aid certification Current and valid Criminal Record Check Flexibility to attend after-hour functions such as team meetings, parent nights, etc. Qualifications of the Montessorian: Strong Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of four or five with respect and mindfulness Strong programming abilities Motivated Self-initiating Ability to plan through the Montessori philosophy and method Prepared to invest their time and energy into the position, the team, and, first and foremost, the children. Working with children in a Montessori setting is more than an 8-to-5 job; it is a career to be proud of. There are about 2 evenings per month, such as parent education, science fairs, and staff meetings. Montessorians work 8 hours 8:00am - 5:00pm. Full-time starting Salary: $3,500.00 /month plus the government top-up wage based on your Alberta certification. Requirements
