Job purpose Responsible to ensure the timely recording, processing, and reconciliation of daily transloading transactions. Assist with daily transloading functions as required. Key Accountabilities Offer exceptional customer experience Execute daily transload plan Follow rail safety compliance to achieve operational excellence Strive for operational efficiencies and improvements Ensure accurate and timely completion of all transload documentation Duties and responsibilities Inspection of outgoing trucks to comply with feed safety Inspection and sampling of incoming ingredients to comply with feed safety Adhere to and exceed all safety compliance regulations Ensure unload schedule is maintained Scaling and reconciliation of loaded/unloaded rail cars Facilitate movement of rail cars on siding for unload Scaling and recording outgoing trucks Inspection of all newly received railcars Inspection and sampling of incoming ingredients Accurate completion of all required transloading documentation Understand and assist with car release process Sampling of product in rail cars Yard maintenance Assist with equipment preventative maintenance Backup for Plant Production Other duties as assigned Skills and Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent customer service skills Safety-focused Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong, positive team player who is open to learning, improving and challenging themselves Detail oriented; resourceful with good analytical capabilities Strong organization, planning and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications include Previous experience in an operational environment Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license Rail safety, rail car mover, WHMIS, fall protection, working from heights, forklift and first aid training are all assets, training will be provided Since 2005, More Than Just Feed and its family of Brands have proudly served Western Canada’s feed industry with high-quality products and services. Requirements
Candidates should have previous experience in an operational environment and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license is required, while rail safety and related certifications are considered assets.
