Job summary
Position Overview This unionized position is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of jigs, fixtures, and molds. The ideal candidate is creative, motivated, takes pride in their work, and is committed to delivering high-quality results. What You Will Do Construct, maintain, and repair jigs, fixtures, and molds using machining and fabrication methods Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding and cutting Read and interpret blueprints Use standard measuring instruments and perform basic shop math What You Need To Be Successful Minimum 2 years of related machining, fabrication, or tool and die experience Tool & Die Journeyperson certification or Welding/Machining certification is considered an asset Experience building tubular welded construction jigs and fixtures is an asset Proficiency with measuring tools and general machine shop equipment Strong blueprint reading and mathematical skills Basic knowledge of various metals and fabrication techniques WHY JOIN OUR TEAM: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment!
