We are seeking instructors with the ability to teach the following course: Sociology 4435 Feminist Theory Wednesdays 1:00 pm - 3:50 pm In person This advanced theory course examines a range of feminist theories. The contents of this course will speak back to and disrupt the sociological canons. Students of this course will engage with theoretical works traditionally excluded from the realm of sociological theory. Inquiries about the position can be sent to Dr. Mary-Lee Mulholland, Chair of Sociology and Anthropology at [email protected] Responsibilities Instruction: course delivery including preparation of course outline, course activities, lesson preparation and assessments, and course Blackboard site; and Administration: submit course attendance sheets, course outline signature forms, input final grades upon course completion, and participate in scheduled program meetings. Qualifications Master's degree in Sociology, with preference for applicants who are either pursuing a Ph.D or those who have completed their Ph.D in Sociology. Demonstrated record of research or teaching experience and scholarly expertise on intersectional feminist theories, Black Feminist Theories, Critical Race theory, Feminist works from the Global South, and/or Indigenous feminist theory. A preference for candidates who incorporate critical sociology, Indigenous ways of knowing, and/or decolonization into their core course content The successful candidate will be required to provide the University with academic transcripts from their degree-granting institutions. Employment contracts will be rescinded if the requirements are not met. The instructor is responsible for the delivery of the Sociology 4435 Feminist Theory course, including preparing outlines, activities, and assessments. Administrative duties include managing attendance, inputting final grades, and participating in program meetings.

A Master's degree in Sociology is required, with a preference for candidates pursuing or holding a PhD. Applicants must demonstrate scholarly expertise in intersectional, Black, Critical Race, Global South, or Indigenous feminist theories.
