Role Description The Performance Coach is a full-time, on-site role based at the MOVATI Athletic club in Burlington, ON. In this role, the coach designs and delivers individualized and group training programs that enhance members’ athletic performance, strength, and overall wellness. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting fitness assessments, creating progressive training plans, leading coaching sessions on the gym floor, and monitoring member progress. The Performance Coach collaborates with other fitness professionals to ensure safe, effective, and engaging sessions, while maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment. The role also involves educating members on technique, recovery, and lifestyle habits that contribute to long-term health and performance. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Athletic Performance and Strength & Conditioning to design and implement effective training programs. Strong Coaching and Training skills to guide, motivate, and support members in achieving their fitness and performance goals. Experience or understanding of Business Coaching to help members set goals, track progress, and maintain long-term commitment. Relevant certification in fitness, strength and conditioning, or personal training (e.g., CSEP, NSCA, ACE, ACSM) is preferred. Knowledge of exercise science, injury prevention, and safe training practices in a gym environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused setting. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, based on member needs. Previous experience in a fitness club or athletic performance setting is an asset.
