MSCP Heat Management Solutions Location: Sherwood Park, Alberta Employment Type: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week The Opportunity MSCP is seeking an experienced Laser Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role requires hands-on laser welding experience and will support MSCP's growing advanced fabrication and manufacturing capabilities. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and adjust laser welding equipment. Perform precise laser welding on components and assemblies. Select and adjust welding parameters based on material, thickness, and application. Perform MIG, TIG, and conventional welding as required. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and specifications. Fit, assemble, fabricate, and inspect components to specification. Identify weld defects, fit-up issues, and process improvements. Participate in QA/QC and continuous improvement activities. Work collaboratively with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment. Qualifications Previous hands-on laser welding experience is required. Journeyperson Welder certification or equivalent experience preferred. Strong MIG/TIG welding and fabrication experience. Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Strong understanding of weld quality, fit-up, and material preparation. Strong attention to precision and workmanship. CWB certification considered an asset. What We're Looking For We are looking for an experienced laser welder who combines strong trade skills with an interest in advanced manufacturing technology. The right candidate will have an opportunity to help develop MSCP's laser welding capability and potentially grow into a technical lead or leadership role as our manufacturing operations expand. Position Details Location: Streambank Facility – Sherwood Park, AB Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience Benefits: Available after 3 months RRSP: Company matching available after 6 months
