Jr Production Planner (Accessories) - 3 Year Fixed Term Contract Location Delta Starter area Controlling Target group Graduates Contract type Full-Time Job ID 1346 This position reports to the Manager of Production Planning and Control of MTU Maintenance Canada’s jet engine overhaul and repair facility. The main responsibility of this position is the scheduling of the production tasks within MTU’s Accessory Shop division and liaise with the production department on the execution of the production schedule. Typical duties include sequencing, prioritizing, and monitoring production activities, as well as compiling reports and KPI data. Other duties include preparing data for status update meetings and developing minor process improvements. This is a junior position which includes training and development and is being offered on a fixed-term contract basis. Tasks: Be the point of contact for the Accessories Production Team (Team Leaders and Technicians) Plan, coordinate, and monitor accessory production activities and consult with more senior Production Planners on production activities spanning multiple work areas Prepare and communicate progress and status reports for multiple stakeholders Liaise with stakeholders and support departments such as Supply Chain or Customer Support to contribute to production target achievement Identify potential work-stoppages or overload situations and consult with senior Production Planners to determine recovery plans Participate in process improvement initiatives within and across departments and develop digital tools for optimizing production-related data flow Learn and further develop the skillset of a Production Planner Requirements: Bachelor degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, or a diploma in a related field of study, or one year of prior work experience in a comparable role Work experience with SAP (or experience with comparable ERP software) Internship in Aviation Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul (MRO) industry or Aviation Manufacturing an asset Excellent skills with MS Excel (including Power Query), intermediate skills with Visual Basic/ Office Scripts, and working knowledge of SharePoint Must be able to pass Export Compliance and Controlled Goods security screenings We Offer: We offer great benefits from your first day (no waiting period) 100% match company pension Extended Medical and Dental Programs Disability Insurance Employee and Family Assistance Program Life Insurance Vision Care and Rx Safety Vision Program Free On-site Parking Go to our website, to learn more about us. Requirements
