Key Responsibilities: * Assist in solving maintenance related problems with minimum interruption to production. * Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds as assigned. * Ensure all weld quality specifications are met, by continuously monitoring the weld processes on the equipment assigned. * Troubleshoot all aspects of the weld process as required. * Assist in maintaining up to date documentation of all equipment. This includes documenting all of the changes to the equipment in MVP. * Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program, and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and completing the PMP checklists. * Participate in development and implementation of latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality. * Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and cost reduction. This includes manufacturing, repairs and installations of parts, components, services and equipment. * Maintain clean and safe working conditions. * Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures. * Provide support to the Assembly Support Department, Facilities Department and Press/Toolroom as required. Basic Requirements: * Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in a related field. * Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and tools is an asset. * Experience with mechanical systems is an asset. * Basic knowledge of electrical systems. * Basic knowledge of welding process (GMAW). * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Good problem solving techniques.
