We are currently looking for a Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team based out of our Lower Sackville, NS location. Job Summary The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for the hauling of waste from industrial sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes. Primary Duties And Responsibilities Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion Ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities Required to climb up ladder on truck to tarp loads Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds Perform other duties as required. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, And Experience 1-2 years driving experience in Waste Collection sector Must possess minimum Class 3 Drivers license with air brake endorsement Experience driving manual transmission Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer focus Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks Knowledge of industry considered an asset Willingness to pick up shifts and work additional hours as required Clean drivers abstract Working safely is a condition of employment.
