Relevant de la direction générale, le ou la titulaire du poste orchestre le bon fonctionnement du service des Travaux publics. Il ou elle soutient le travail des élus et des comités sous sa responsabilité, mène son équipe d’employés et coordonne les projets et la programmation d’activités de son service. Responsabilités ➢ Planifie, dirige et contrôle l’opération et l’entretien des réseaux d’aqueduc, de voirie, d’égout et des infrastructures municipales en conformité avec les budgets et les normes ; ➢ Vérifie régulièrement l’état des réseaux, des bâtiments et terrains pour mieux planifier les travaux à exécuter ; ➢ Coordonne la gestion et l’entretien des immeubles, des propriétés, des parcs, des espaces verts et des terrains municipaux ; ➢ Visite les chantiers pour contrôler la qualité des travaux et s’assurer du respect des échéanciers et des normes réglementaires de sécurité ; ➢ Prépare des estimations des coûts des travaux à réaliser en régie ; ➢ Participe, vérifie et modifie les devis techniques des contrats annuels ; ➢ Planifie, dirige et contrôle les employés sous son autorité de façon à assurer l’efficacité du service ; ➢ Assure la coordination de son service avec les autres services de la municipalité; ➢ Toutes autres tâches connexes. Qualifications ➢ Quelqu’un détenant un baccalauréat en génie civil, ou tout autre formation pertinente; ➢ Un minimum de 10 années d’expérience en planification et gestion des opérations ; ➢ Une connaissance du milieu municipal (atout); ➢ Une connaissance des infrastructures et des ouvrages d’eau potable et d’eaux usées (un atout); ➢ Une bonne connaissance du français et une facilité à rédiger des rapports; ➢ Être reconnu comme un excellent communicateur avec un sens politique aguerri; ➢ Avec un permis de conduire valide.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or another relevant field is sought, along with at least 10 years of experience planning and managing operations. Municipal experience and knowledge of drinking water and wastewater infrastructure are assets; strong French communication and report-writing skills, political awareness, and a valid driver's license are also required.
