What you'll be doing As a Visiting Medical Officer in Rheumatology, you will provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist rheumatology services that are evidence based, patient centred and focused on achieving optimal health outcomes for the communities served by Griffith Base Hospital and the broader Murrumbidgee region. Working within a multidisciplinary team environment, you will deliver high quality clinical care, collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues, and contribute to the supervision and education of junior medical officers and other healthcare professionals. You will actively participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management activities while supporting the ongoing development of specialist services across the District. Selection Criteria Holds unconditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Physician Rheumatologist. MBBS or equivalent, and holds fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in the specialty of Rheumatology. Demonstrated significant experience relevant to Rheumatology practice and evidence of competence in skills relevant to Australian rural hospital practice. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. Demonstrated commitment to behaviours which align to the NSW Health CORE values and MLHD Values, goals and strategies. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
