Key Responsibilities · Design, develop, and optimize small-molecule assays in liquid-phase formats (competitive, displacement, or binding assays) · Develop and integrate aptamer-based and antibody-based detection strategies into liquid and lateral flow assay formats · Synthesize, functionalize, and conjugate gold nanoparticles for use in colorimetric and fluorescent assays · Optimize fluorescent and colorimetric assay performance, including signal-to-noise, sensitivity, and dynamic range · Prepare and analyze urine and other complex biological matrices, including mitigation of matrix effects · Maintain thorough laboratory documentation, including experimental records, data analysis, and SOPs Qualifications Required · MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field · Demonstrated experience in assay development for small-molecule detection · Experience with gold nanoparticle synthesis, aptamers and bioconjugation chemistry · Hands-on experience with fluorescent and/or colorimetric biosensors · Proficiency with core laboratory instrumentation, including plate readers and spectrophotometers · Strong problem-solving, organizational, and troubleshooting skills in an R&D environment Preferred · Experience developing or translating assays into lateral flow formats · Experience working with aptamers (modification, conjugation, or assay integration) Why Join Us?
