ABOUT THE ROLE The Lineman is responsible for constructing and maintaining all phases of electrical line construction to include: underground, transmission, substation and wind farms. Essential Functions Construct and maintain all phases of electrical line construction to include: underground, transmission, substations and wind farms Establish OH & S and customer safety requirements Observe and practice all safety policies and bulletins Plan and initiate projects Set poles Maintain and repair overhead distribution or transmission lines String new wire or maintain old wire Experience with tuning overhead lines to strict specifications and stagger Install and maintain insulators Install and maintain transformers and other equipment Supervision of Groundmen and Apprentices Install and maintain underground distribution systems Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable Essential functions of this position will be performed at a designated Company office or field location. ABOUT YOU Qualifications Presently qualified to be a Journeyman Power-Lineman. Documentation of completion of program is required Valid Drivers License Principal Skills Ability to work at heights up to and aboce 100 feet Able to communicate effectively Possess good teamwork skills Ability to understand, comprehend, and follow directions in the workplace A high awareness of safety and compliance with company safety rules is required at all times Strong comprehension of drawings and details WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits Compensation, benefits and annual vacation allotment per the respective IBEW collective agreement.
