As we enter our next phase of growth - including expanding our national retail footprint, entering the foodservice channel, and pursuing new strategic growth opportunities - we're looking for an accomplished National Sales Manager to help shape our commercial strategy and accelerate the growth of a brand that's redefining one of grocery's most established categories. Role Description As National Sales Manager, you will play a central role in shaping NanaShake's next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the execution of our national sales strategy, strengthen partnerships with Canada's leading grocery retailers, and identify new opportunities to expand our retail footprint across Canada while supporting our entry into the foodservice channel. This is a highly visible leadership role where you will own key customer relationships, develop and execute customer growth strategies and work closely with our broker and distribution partners to ensure exceptional execution at every level of the business. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable presenting strategic growth plans to senior retail buyers as they are analyzing sales data, optimizing promotional performance, and rolling up their sleeves to solve challenges in the field. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational discipline, and relentless execution. You'll work alongside the founders to influence commercial strategy, strengthen our retail partnerships, and play a meaningful role in scaling one of Canada's most innovative emerging food brands. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership Develop and execute the company's national sales strategy to deliver profitable revenue growth, expand distribution across the retail channel and support our entry into the foodservice channel. Lead the annual customer business planning process, establishing account-specific growth strategies, sales targets and promotional plans. Lead sales forecasting, performance reporting, and business planning, proactively identifying risks and opportunities to achieve annual objectives. Develop and manage the annual trade investment strategy and budget, negotiating pricing, promotional programs, and commercial agreements that drive profitable growth. Develop and maintain strategic account plans using sales data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and drive informed business decisions. National & Regional Account Management Own and strengthen relationships with key national and regional grocery retail partners, ensuring our sales fundamentals are consistently executed across all accounts. Develop and execute customer-specific growth strategies that drive distribution gains, sales growth and long-term profitability. Identify opportunities to expand assortment, secure incremental distribution, optimize shelf placement, and improve merchandising execution across all accounts. Track and improve execution performance at store level, strengthen relationships with store leadership, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure sales fundamentals are consistently executed. Monitor retailer performance and schedule periodic business reviews with each account highlighting results and identifying opportunities for growth. Evaluate promotional ROI by customer and use performance insights to optimize future initiatives. Monitor the effectiveness of product demonstrations, sampling programs, and promotional events Commercial Partner Management Lead NanaShake’s distributor partnerships to ensure best-in-class execution and operational performance by: Monitoring sell-in, sell-through and inventory levels – identifying potential supply gaps and implementing corrective actions to improve distribution efficiency and customer service levels. Developing and monitoring the execution of distributor-specific promotional plans and calendars, continuously optimizing promotional depth and frequency Managing distributor pricing, margin structure and trade investment to support profitable and sustainable growth. Lead NanaShake's broker partnership to maximize commercial performance and execution across all customer accounts by: Conducting regular meetings to review account progress, promotional execution, distribution gains and overall commercial performance. Overseeing the execution of annual promotional calendars and customer initiatives, ensuring programs are delivered accurately, on time and that trade spend is optimized across all accounts Securing new listings and distribution gains, executing assortment reviews and driving incremental sales opportunities. Ensuring merchandising resources are effectively deployed to improve on-shelf availability, retail execution and in-store visibility across all banners. Continuously evaluate the performance of external commercial partners, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, strengthen execution and maximize return on investment. Industry Events and Brand Representation Represent NanaShake at national trade shows, retailer supplier summits and other strategic events. Support the successful execution of trade shows and promotional events, including event logistics, booth operations and preparation of key account materials. Represent NanaShake at key customer meetings and store openings to strengthen retailer relationships and increase brand visibility. Leverage industry events to identify prospective retail partners, strengthen existing relationships, and uncover new commercial opportunities Qualifications 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within the Canadian CPG industry Proven experience managing broker and distributor partnerships to deliver measurable commercial results. Experience managing and growing Canadian national grocery accounts. Strong understanding of trade spend, margin management and revenue growth. Demonstrated success thriving in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and translate insights into actionable growth strategies. Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Requirements
