Job summary
As an Agile Scrum Master reporting to the AVP, Index Technology Delivery Manager at Nasdaq, you'll play a key role on the Index Technology team. You will use your expertise in Agile and Scrum to remove obstacles, facilitate high-quality product delivery, and coordinate with the product owner and development team to plan sprints, manage risks, and track progress toward project goals. Strong communication and leadership skills, as well as a commitment to Agile practices, are essential for this position. Key Responsibilities Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. Support Product Owners by assisting with backlog management, and ensuring the team understands the product goals and scope. Remove blockers by identifying and eliminating obstacles that impact the team’s progress. Promote Agile practices and ensure that the team follows the Scrum Framework and adheres to Agile principles. Track progress and monitor team performance through key metrics and ensure transparency in the development process. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to suggest and implement improvements. Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholder Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile leadership role. Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices, as well as software development processes and cloud technologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to facilitate and collaborate effectively in cross-functional, matrixed teams. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira or similar project management platforms. Preferred Qualifications Scrum Master certification (e.g., CSM, PSM). Experience leading projects in financial data or capital markets domains. The base pay range for this role is $91,000 - $129,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
