Job summary
As a Platform Operations Sr. Analyst reporting to Sr. Director - Platform Operations, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Nasdaq's trading systems and market operations. You will support real-time 24/7 technical operations, troubleshoot issues across production environments, and partner closely with clients and internal teams to maintain seamless service delivery. This role will support Nasdaq Eqlipse Trading, Nasdaq’s next-generation marketplace technology platform designed to help exchanges and market operators run secure, resilient, and high-performance trading environments. Key Responsibilities * Monitor production systems in real time, identify emerging issues, and drive resolution to ensure platform uptime and performance. * Support daily market operations, including system startup and shutdown procedures, application updates, and recovery processes. * Collaborate with clients, network providers, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and technical issues quickly and effectively. * Maintain operational documentation and procedures that support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the team. * Partner with engineering and development teams to address operational challenges and implement scalable solutions. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in technical or network operations. * 3+ years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related discipline. * Strong proficiency in Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting. * Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and the ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity-related issues. * Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies. * Experience with AWS or other cloud providers. * Familiarity with scripting (Bash, regex) and tools like GitLab, Docker, or Kubernetes. * Certifications relevant to systems operations or infrastructure management. Schedule: Friday to Monday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. This position will be located in Toronto and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates. The base pay range for this role is $75,000 - $103,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
