A career as a Senior Advisor Operational Risk within the Operational Risk Governance and Transformation team at National Bank means acting as the lead specialist responsible for the practice of collecting, analyzing, and leveraging data related to operational events and losses. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the Bank’s understanding of its risk profile, the enhancement of control mechanisms, and compliance with regulatory requirements through your expertise in risk management, data governance, and information analysis. Your role Ensure the governance and ongoing evolution of the operational event and loss management practice, as well as related frameworks Engage with stakeholders as needed to ensure the effective execution of activities and compliance with expectations related to the practice and its governing frameworks Define and maintain methodologies, procedures, and quality standards to ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability Perform analyses and develop indicators to identify emerging risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement Coordinate the production of regulatory deliverables and support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reviews Enhance analytical capabilities, optimize processes, and contribute to the evolution of the operational risk management framework Support and influence business partners by acting as a subject matter expert and promoting the adoption of best practices Your teamWithin the Operational Risk Governance and Transformation sector, you will be part of a specialized team that actively contributes to the Bank’s resilience. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in risk management, audit, internal controls, compliance, finance, or governance. Significant experience working in a highly regulated environment. Expertise in data governance, data quality, or data analytics. Strong knowledge of operational risk management, internal controls, and prudential requirements applicable to financial institutions. Experience producing reports for executive committees or regulatory bodies. Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, or comparable platforms. Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
