RESOLUTION HEALTH SUPPORT WORKER Full-time position – Calgary, Alberta Closing date – August 14, 2026 Native Counselling Services of Alberta’s mission is to promote the resilience of the indigenous individual and family, through programs and services that are grounded in reclaiming our interconnectedness, reconciliation of relationships and self-determination. Native Counselling Services of Alberta (NCSA) provides services throughout Alberta to Indigenous individuals who are working to change their lives and live a holistic lifestyle. We are looking to fill the position of Child Compensation support worker. We are looking for a individual who is dependable, committed to supporting individuals to safely address issues as needed. Specific responsibilities will include the following: * To build on participants strengths, abilities and interests to develop and implement their own healing plan utilizing resources available. * To ensure trauma-informed care is provided with an emphasis on child and family focused supports. * To provide eligible members and their family members with access to emotional support that allows them to safely address issues related to their experience. Our ideal candidate would have the following qualifications: * In-depth experience and working knowledge of Indigenous communities, cultures, healing and language. * Demonstrated understanding of historic trauma and the impact of colonization on Indigenous people. * Extensive working experience with Indigenous individuals, knowledge of cultural protocol, experience working with Elders in a culturally appropriate manner. * Bachelor Social Work and/or knowledge and experience working in the mental health service delivery or counselling field. * Good working knowledge of computers and information technology. * Ability to seek out and build relationships with service providers and community members. * Strong interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, leadership and time management skills. * Up to date criminal record check, child intervention check and driver’s abstract. * Must have a reliable vehicle, valid Alberta driver’s license with required liability insurance and confirmation of insurance coverage to transport clients. Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent experience in mental health and counseling, along with deep knowledge of Indigenous cultures and historic trauma. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and successful completion of criminal record and child intervention checks are mandatory.
