We are passionate about food that is good and good for you! Our Que Pasa Foods facility, located in Delta, is expanding and is looking for a fulltime Maintenance Technician to join our amazing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing daily tasks maintaining equipment in the Factory in order to ensure that production continues in a safe and efficient manner. The Technician must be familiar or have knowledge of Electrical control on production equipment, and able to support the department of all its responsibilities including, but not limited to, any building maintenance, stone grinding and general clean up. Schedule * Must be on shift rotation as per production requirements * Must be available to work any day in a week including the weekends, holidays and emergencies * Must have reliable transportation due to limited bus routes on the weekends Benefits * Company-paid extended health benefits coverage (medical, dental & vision) * Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long-Term Disability * RRSP Matching program * Paid Vacation * Paid Sick Days * Wellness Programs & Incentives * Discounts on products * Referral Bonus * "Green My Ride" Carpool & Vehicle Incentives Duties & Responsibilities * Basic understanding of OSHA and safety procedures * Technical understanding of the operation of the equipment and machinery * Preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned safely and report unsafe conditions * Troubleshoot/repair equipment when called, and address root cause * New equipment installation/commissioning * Maintain high level of cleanliness and organization in the Maintenance Shop * Requires standing, walking, reaching and bending for multiple periods of time and ability to lift up to 30 lbs in a safe manner * Electrical/ Mechanical/ Pneumatic and Hydraulic trouble shooting. * Other assigned duties Requirements and Qualifications * Preferred experience in equipment maintenance and plant operations * Preferred in a food manufacturing environment. * High school diploma, or GED, or technical program or Trade certification * Must be familiar or have knowledge of electrical control on production equipment. * Certified Industrial Millwright/ Industrial Electrician/ Electrical engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Power Engineer with electrical and mechanical skills * Experience reading diagrams and schematic drawings, PLC, VFD and relay logic. * Has Tig welding skills or willing to learn. * Basic metal fabrication skills. * Has a positive attitude with a team player mindset * Demonstrates performance driven to meet target outputs and deadlines * Hard working, reliable independent and self-motivated * Has the ability to work efficiently and in a high-paced environment * Maintains excellent attendance record * Steel toed shoes are required. * Basic Hand and power tools required. * Willing to work on any shift as plant requirements, including weekends Salary: $30- $35 hourly rate

What you’ll do

Responsible for the daily maintenance and repair of factory equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. Duties include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and supporting general building upkeep.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or trade certification with knowledge of electrical controls and experience reading schematic drawings. Candidates should be proficient in PLC, VFD, and welding, and be available for shift rotations including weekends.
