Seasonal Packaging Specialist

Job summary

The Packaging Specialist is responsible for manually lifting, loading, and packaging products while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They must also participate in the sanitation of equipment and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Schedule * Day shift: 06:20 AM – 14:30 PM * Afternoon Shift: 14:20PM- 22:30PMwith $1.50 premium * Night shift: 22:20 PM – 06:30 AM with $3.00 premium * Must be available to work any day in a week including the weekends * Must have reliable transportation due to limited bus routes on the weekends Duties & Responsibilities * Performs manual lifting, stacking, loading and unloading (35 lbs) * Able to move 35 lb baskets up to 45 times an hour on a rotational basis * Able to stand on feet up to 8 hours per day * Able to work in a warm conditions * Assists in the direct handling of products * Labels and packages products * Builds cardboard boxes and trays * Participates in the setup, take down and sanitation of all parts and equipment, as required * Works with and in close proximity to sanitizing chemicals * Maintains a very clean and organized work area * Ensures compliance with our health and safety regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment * Performs other assigned duties Requirements and Qualifications * Preferred 1-2 years in food manufacturing experience * Has the ability to read, speak and understand English work directions * Has a positive attitude with a team player mindset * Demonstrates performance driven to meet target outputs and deadlines * Hard working, reliable independent and self-motivated * Has the ability to work efficiently and in a high-paced environment * Maintains excellent attendance record * Non-slip shoes or steel toe shoes are required Compensation * Hourly Rate: $19
