Job summary

Overview Languages English Education College/CEGEP Experience 3 years to less than 5 years On site Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities Tasks Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present clients Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements Prepare master format estimates (Class A) Prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D) Operate CADD and other computer software systems Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms Advise on tendering procedures Analyze tenders and recommend awards Monitor and adjust contract expenditures Prepare and maintain directory of supplies and trade contractors Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates Conduct geotechnical programs for data acquisition, analysis and mapping Experience and specialization Resource usage and environmental studies Groundwater movement analysis Computer and technology knowledge AutoCAD MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint SolidWorks software MS Outlook Microsoft Visio Equipment and machinery experience Pumps Type of industry experience Pipelines Area of specialization Geotechnical Additional information Transportation/travel information Willing to travel Valid driver's licence Work conditions and physical capabilities Handling heavy loads Attention to detail Personal suitability Client focus Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Organized Team player Proactive Benefits Health benefits Health care plan Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Other Benefits Learning/training paid by employer
