The Position: Neelands Group Limited is searching for a Cable Technician to join our team at the Burlington, Ontario location. This is a regular, full-time union position with a full union compensation package. This posting is for a replacement position within the team. The successful candidate will be placed in the appropriate union classification based on their qualifications and experience and will be paid either $25.91 per hour or $32.76 per hour. Responsibilities: Identify and install LVT communication cable Terminate and secure cables Read and understand blueprints Verification of system Installation of related components Understand and advise management of inventory levels Stock transfer to specific job Follow direction of Project Manager Be able to work unsupervised Interact with site supervisor. Qualifications: Experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration controls, telephone, alarm fields is an asset. 2-4 years’ experience in one of these fields or similar is an asset but not necessary Work in the construction industry G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract Ability to travel What you Bring to the Team: A self-starter who is highly effective working independently and within a team Flexibility, along with the ability to operate well under pressure Strong problem-solving abilities Ability to perform in a high pressure, fast-paced environment A keen attention to detail A positive, hands-on, “can-do” attitude Why join Neelands?
