Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave in New Westminster, British Columbia. A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation are required, as this position involves delivering medications to patients. Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience. Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities: Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned Delivery Driver Responsibilities: Perform medication and medical supply pickups and deliveries throughout New Westminster Use a personal, reliable vehicle for deliveries, as a company vehicle is not available. Mileage reimbursement will be provided. Ensure the safety and security of all medications, medical supplies, and other cargo during transportation Complete delivery documentation, obtain required signatures, and submit delivery slips as needed Maintain accurate delivery and related records Qualifications: Valid, permanent provincial driver’s license with a safe driving record Valid First Aid and CPR certification Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is preferred Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset Trustworthy and dependable, with a high level of professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments Ability to accurately follow established procedures and guidelines Criminal Record Check is required Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Who We Are: Neighbourly Pharmacy is Canada’s largest and fastest growing network of community pharmacies.
