Job summary

Operator (4th Class Power Engineer minimum 2nd/3rd Class preferred) Our client is seeking a motivated Power Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of a heavy oil processing facility in Northern Alberta. This role is responsible for monitoring plant equipment, optimizing production, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting process issues, and supporting maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards. Qualifications: Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate required (2nd or 3rd Class preferred). Experience in heavy oil, thermal, refining, or oil & gas processing operations is considered a strong asset. Strong understanding of process equipment, plant operations, and safe work practices. Ability to work a rotational schedule in a team-oriented operating environment. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be local to Peace River AB or willing to relocate at their own cost.
