Job summary

Project Coordinator (Intermediate) Contract Length: 2 Years (September 1, 2026 – August 31, 2028) Location: North Bay, ON Schedule: Monday to Friday Position Overview Our Construction Services Canada (CSC) team is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to support construction activities related to pipeline Integrity Projects across Canada Gas business operations. This role is ideal for a fully qualified Project Coordinator with a strong understanding of construction projects and established project coordination practices. Working within defined guidelines, the successful candidate may also be responsible for reviewing the work of junior Project Coordinators and providing guidance where required. The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting project execution through financial coordination, purchase order (PO) management, cost tracking, reporting, and overall project coordination throughout the project lifecycle. This position is accountable for ensuring projects are established correctly, costs are monitored and controlled, vendor activities are tracked effectively, and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage project-related purchase orders (POs) from creation through closeout. Track project costs and support financial controls to ensure budget adherence. Monitor vendor performance and maintain effective communication with suppliers and contractors. Prepare and distribute monthly project reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Support project setup, maintenance, and closeout activities. Coordinate project information and activities between Construction Managers, Project Managers, field teams, Supply Chain, and other internal stakeholders. Maintain project documentation, records, and reporting systems. Support procurement tracking and contract administration activities. Assist in identifying and resolving project coordination issues that may impact cost, schedule, or execution. Review work completed by junior Project Coordinators as required. Collaborate closely with the CSC Business Analyst to ensure: Data quality and accuracy Reporting consistency Alignment with established business processes Support for continuous improvement initiatives Contribute to efficient project delivery by ensuring all coordination, tracking, and reporting activities are executed accurately and effectively. Required Qualifications Experience working as a Project Coordinator within construction, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, or related industries. Working knowledge of construction practices and project execution processes. Experience with purchase order management, vendor coordination, and cost tracking. Strong financial coordination and reporting capabilities. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with project tracking and reporting tools, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and field personnel. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting pipeline, energy, utility, or integrity-related construction projects. Familiarity with project controls, procurement processes, and contractor management. Experience reviewing and mentoring junior project coordination staff.
